My wife and I have been attending Michael's Art course at Al Riwaq since January 2018.

It was a wonderful experience.  It was very educational to have a succinct education on sketching progressing from mark-making and ending at the basics of portraiture. 

Each lecture was built on the previous one. It was not a lecture but rather a conversation, sort of a mini art college class. Each session explored a basic technique and its use by established artists. The exercises deepened my understanding of these principles. The street exercises really brought home the aim of an artist, were inspiring and fun.

My wife and I looked forward to it every weekend. I do hope that it continues. And I'm sure other participants feel the same. Kudos to the American Embassy for supporting Micheal's effort.
