The language of this piece “I am not a lie” was derived from a meditation I found recurrent in my free-writing. A saying that repeated over and over throughout the pages and years. I felt it was time to give this saying a voice and associate my aesthetic vocabulary along with it.
The stone imagery comes from Chinese scholars’ rocks; in Japan known as Suiseki.
